Thank you for following our Peacebuilding work in 2015! To keep you informed, we’ve just published our final Peace Alliance 2015 Annual Report, which includes a recap of our accomplishments in 2015, as well as a summary of what lies ahead for us in 2016.
This course features inspiring wisdom and leadership from the field of Restorative Justice, Mindfulness, NVC and Social & Emotional Learning in schools. It will explore bringing these critical skills into school communities.
You are invited to join us on Tuesday, February 9th for our February Action Call!! We will be joined by special guest, HawaH Kasat – Founder and Executive Director of One Common Unity! OCU’s program, “Fly By Light,” has been doing phenomenal peacebuilding work with youth in some of Washington D.C.’s most stressed schools and neighborhoods.

In 2015, Department of Peacebuilding (DoP) supporters worked with DoP legislation sponsor, Congresswoman Barbara Lee on incorporating evolving peacebuilding practices into the Department of Peacebuilding Act of 2015, which was introduced on 2/26/15 as H.R. 1111. Throughout the year, we made hundreds of contacts with members of Congress urging them to cosponsor DoP legislation and to support other peacebuilding initiatives.
