CA Peace Alliance Accomplishments & Adventures at the 2016 CA Democratic Party Convention

The CA Peace Alliance/ Department of Peacebuilding campaign took our message of peacebuilding to the CA Democratic Party (CDP) for its statewide convention in San Jose, CA from February 26 – 28, 2016. The CA Peace Alliance’s focus was to infuse the platform and the elections with peacebuilding and to grow support for legislation to create a U.S. Department of Peacebuilding (DoP/ HR1111).

2016 Pies for Peace Action

Every year, peace supporters across the nation take pies to their local Congressional offices with a message that “peace deserves a piece of the pie.” We are talking of course about peace and the work of peacebuilding being made a budget and policy priority. It’s always a fun and connecting activity, and we’ve found it to be very effective.
