Americans are good people, and at times we can be wise. But we’re often under-informed by media, misinformed by our government and ill-served by both. Issues are presented to us wrapped in the illusion that we really have much choice in the matter, the issue having first been processed by a corporate and political machinery that determines what we’re even permitted to consider.
