Most people feel hopeless and cynical about making a difference with their voices as citizens. Reclaiming Our Democracy shows how people around the world have dropped their hopelessness and joined with others in joyfully making the difference in the world they have always dreamed of making.
This book offers a recipe for creating the kind of cultural change that could re-shape our planet for the better, and how you can be an empowered part of making it so.
Listen to what others have said about recent seminars and lectures Sam has led:
I cannot think of an event that helped me feel empowered on so many levels than this event this evening. Seeing our students continue electrifying conversations until midnight about social innovation, advocacy, and development would have made you VERY proud….

Sam Daley-Harris founded the anti-poverty lobby RESULTS in 1980, founded the Microcredit Summit Campaign in 1995, and founded the Center for Citizen Empowerment and Transformation in 2012. Sam began coaching Citizens Climate Lobby in 2007 and began coaching The Peace Alliance in 2013. Speaking of three organizations Sam founded, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus has said:
No other organization has been as critical a partner in seeing to it that microcredit is used as a tool to eradicate poverty and empower women than RESULTS and RESULTS Educational Fund’s Microcredit Summit Campaign.
Ashoka founder Bill Drayton has called Sam, “one of the certified great social entrepreneurs of the last decades.”
David Bornstein in his May 29, 2013 column in the NY Times wrote the following about Sam’s work:
We don’t often hear stories like this-stories about ordinary citizens working powerfully side by side with elected officials-particularly citizens who don’t come bearing campaign checks. That’s why it’s important to understand how these changes were achieved and how much more may be possible than most citizens imagine.
