From the growing rate of domestic incarceration to increasing problems of international conflict, the United States faces great challenges around the issue of violence in our homes, communities and world.

We are working to shift away from the dominant punitive, adversarial and militaristic approaches we are traditionally taking when dealing with conflict, moving toward more preventative and restorative approaches that focus on healing.  These approaches are proven to be more effective than traditional approaches.

Tele-course: Working for Change Without Recreating the Past With Miki KashtanEvery new member will have the opportunity to attend a powerful two-part tele-course focusing on principles of Nonviolent Communication, led by the skillful and inspiring Miki Kashtan of BayNVC. The course is entitled: Working for Change Without Recreating the Past, likely to take place in September. In this mini-series, we will explore: working with a focus on what we want to create; developing and living new models of power and leadership; transforming judgments into ways of engaging across differences with love and respect. Learn more about this course.Every Supporting Member will also be invited to attend special membership calls during the year, with staff and board, to update and get feedback. We will also send you regular reports on our activities as well as a special peace magnet.

Marianne, one of our organization’s founders and Emeritus Chair of our Board of Directors, has generously offered a 60 minute personal or organizational coaching session via phone.  Marianne is an internationally acclaimed spiritual author and lecturer, with many New York Times best-sellers to her credit. . Signed Copies of Marianne Williamson’s Book Healing the Soul of America Marianne also signed 10 copies of her landmark book, Healing the Soul of America (a MUST read).

Signed Walk the Line DVDs & Film Script Signed by Joaquin Phoenix Oscar nominated actor Joaquin Phoenix has generously signed 5 copies of the acclaimed Walk the Line dvd’s as well as a signed script and signed poster from the film. We’ll be drawing for each of these separately.

Signed Copies of Body of War DVDs Signed by Phil Donahue Phil Donahue generously provided a few extra signed dvd’s to be included in the raffle. Phil co-directed and executive produced this moving documentary.
