Nuclear Disarmament For Humanitarian Needs: Empowering Individuals & Cities

In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings, Pathways To Peace will hold a conference “Nuclear Disarmament for Humanitarian Needs: Empowering Individuals and Cities” on August 4th, 2025 at 10:00 AM ET.

The conference will examine and honor the anniversaries, how nuclear disarmament can support humanitarian needs, the role of cities in nuclear policy, action steps that individuals can make, and the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons. Testimonies from an atomic bombing survivor, the Mayor of Hiroshima, and other statements from distinguished speakers will be made. The general public, activists, civil society, policymakers, and academic experts are invited to attend.
