Our special guest will be Steven Smith – Peace Alliance Board Member and Accomplished International Peacebuilder.
We are ready to share a key campaign initiative for this Fall – aimed at humanizing the political landscape one conversation at a time. We will be publicizing our “Common Understanding,” and inviting you to join us in bringing more warmth, community, and respect into the political realm. This is a dual initiative: promoting awareness of our Five Cornerstones of Peacebuilding — and the programs and policies such as creation of a US Department of Peacebuilding that flow with these Cornerstones –, while also influencing the tenor and climate of our political process. We may not “solve it all” in one night, but with your help we are moving in the right direction!
We will also be discussing the upcoming September DC Advocacy Days, as well as our ongoing initiative around Truth and Reconciliation for America’s racial violence history.
Once again, we will be hosting our Monthly Field Call using Zoom technology. Those who download the Zoom software can join the call using video tools – seeing the speakers and being seen if you wish. Others may phone in as usual, using the number provided via email after you register.
